Following my last post about transitioning into Spring, I thought it only right to share a wish list post about one of my ultimate wardrobe staples for Early Spring – the trench coat.

Continue reading “Spring Staples – The Trench”So this year, I feel like the transition from Winter into Spring feels so much bigger than usual. Here in the UK, we are on the road out of a strict lockdown which we’ve been living in since the New Year and the prospect of lighter nights and warmer weather, along with being able to go out and about more is a momentous moment! I’ve been daydreaming about my Spring outfits after spending the last 12 months in loungewear but you may be surprised to know, that loungewear is still going to be a big trend as we move into the new season.
Continue reading “Transition into Spring & Out of Lockdown”Autumn is probably my most favourite season to dress for. I love everything about it, the layering, the introduction of knitwear, being able to wear oversized jackets with bare legs and boots, not to mention that I can re-ignite my love for leather trousers, which I would wear all year round if it was up to me.
Continue reading “Autumn #OOTD 1”Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the last month or so, you’ve no doubt seen those H&M knitted vests or gilets that are allllll over the internet. First came the v-neck, then the high neck and now I think I’ve even seen a crop version pop up a couple of days ago. They are the perfect in-between season piece for someone like me who’s pretty much dying to get their knitwear out, but is also still wrestling with some sort of Indian Summer or mini September heatwave.
Continue reading “4 Ways to Style that H&M Knitted Vest”Over the last 2 to 3 years, my shopping habits have begun to really change. Looking back at a few years ago, I can remember a time when I was obsessed with fast fashion and would spend £100 every other week in Primark, coming home with hauls of new outfits, that I would inevitably wear once and then throw to the back of my wardrobe.
This came partly from an obsession with different trends and wanting to always be wearing the latest piece but also from a love of fashion and a desire to be creative with the way I dressed and expressed myself every day. However, over recent years I’ve started to think more consciously about my shopping habits and am (hopefully) making changes for the better.
Continue reading “How my shopping habits are changing with the times”I love the change in seasons and how it brings about new, emerging trends in the fashion world. It always makes me feel much more inspired and adventurous when it comes to putting outfits together and I find myself rooting through my wardrobe to find what I have tucked away from former Summers that I can pull out to fit with the upcoming styles and trends. Mules aren’t exactly new to the fashion game, however they are big this season like never before and this is all thanks to the statement style from Bottega (yet again!). I remember a couple of years ago when the Gucci Princetowns were released and the high street went crazy for dupes in that shape and style, but even then I don’t remember mules being so on trend as they are at the moment. An oversized blazer paired with chunky, patrol style boots is one of my favourite outfit combos at the moment. This is a combination I’ve seen on so many of the attendees at recent fashion weeks, it’s a street style favourite and such an easy, on-trend, casual daytime look.
I love relaxed tailoring but adding a belt to bring you in at the waist adds something a little bit extra to the outfit and can make a casual look, that bit smarter and dressed up if needs be.
