The Gift Guide Series: Small, Independent & Local Businesses

The Gift Guide Series: Small, Independent & Local Businesses

Post number two in this years Gift Guide series is all about supporting those small, independent and local businesses that we know and love. After the events of 2020, they need our support more than ever and with Christmas round the corner, there’s no time like the present to invest in these businesses and introduce your family and friends to new products and services so that maybe they’ll continue to also support them in the future.

The Gift Guide Series: Letterbox Gifting

The Gift Guide Series: Letterbox Gifting

Welcome to the very first instalment of my 2020 Gift Guide Series! This will be the first time I’ve ever put a Christmas gift guide together, but I thought that some of you may enjoy a little more help planning your gift giving than usual, given the strange circumstances we’re all in. For this first post, I want to focus on Letterbox Gifting, purely because it’s the most accessible and stress-free way of sending little gestures to our loved ones whilst in and out of varying lockdowns and restrictions.

Christmas Pyjama Edit

Christmas Pyjama Edit

At this time of year, when it’s dark from 4pm until 8am and the evening and night time seems to last forever, one of the things I love the most is getting my festive PJ’s out from the back of my drawers and cosying up with a glass of mulled wine and some Christmassy snacks. It somehow makes those long nights more bearable, and really helps me get into the Christmas spirit.

Three Coat Trends for Winter 2020

Three Coat Trends for Winter 2020

Ok, it’s been a while, I know. But I’m back and hoping to inspire you over the coming weeks with all things fashion and festive! Autumn/Winter is one of my favourite times to dress for and a huge reason for that is because I absolutely love coats. I usually buy one new coat every Winter, although I could definitely buy A LOT more, but as I only buy one it’s a decision I take very, very carefully. I’m usually scouring the shops for weeks beforehand to make sure I’m making the best decision and through my constant searching, this year I’ve come across some gorgeous coat trends for the 2020 Winter Season.

Brand Overview: nu-in Fashion

Brand Overview: nu-in Fashion

Todays’ post is dedicated to the new kid on the block for sustainable fashion, at the high street level of the market. As you guys know, I’m always striving to bring more elements of sustainability into the way I shop and have talked to you before about specific brand campaigns and ranges, that are based on more considered processes and garments; but I think this is probably the first time I’m talking to you about an actual complete brand whose entire ethos is based around sustainable clothing.

How my shopping habits are changing with the times

How my shopping habits are changing with the times

Over the last 2 to 3 years, my shopping habits have begun to really change. Looking back at a few years ago, I can remember a time when I was obsessed with fast fashion and would spend £100 every other week in Primark, coming home with hauls of new outfits, that I would inevitably wear once and then throw to the back of my wardrobe.

This came partly from an obsession with different trends and wanting to always be wearing the latest piece but also from a love of fashion and a desire to be creative with the way I dressed and expressed myself every day. However, over recent years I’ve started to think more consciously about my shopping habits and am (hopefully) making changes for the better.

August Wishlist

August Wishlist

It’s been a couple of months since I posted one of my monthly wish lists and I had considered changing the format or not doing them at all moving forward because I’m conscious that I don’t want to promote constantly buying new things, but it’s the start of my favourite shopping season so I just couldn’t miss talking to you about some of my favourite pieces.
