Fast Fashion is nothing new. Fast Fashion has been a growing aspect of the fashion industry for many years and it’s something that I researched a lot when studying my masters in Fashion Buying. I based my dissertation on the growth of Fast Fashion as well as its effect on the cost of clothing and the decline of the textiles industry in Britain, however, that was around 4 years ago and the pull of Fast Fashion is now even more extreme as our want for constant newness continues to surge. Fast Fashion has a place in all of our lives and wardrobes, but do we truly know and understand the vastness of its effects, which reach to much more than just our clothing choices each day? The increasing impact of social media is something i’ve been wanting to talk about for a while now but I put it off not wanting to sound overly negative about social media platforms and the influence they can have on our lives.

There are some completely unique and amazing opportunities to be found from using social media, as well as endless positive advantages and influences on our lives but at the same time, there has been A LOT of noise about the negative impacts some of these platforms can have – even the accusation that there is now a mental health disorder, derived specifically from an obsession of using social media.

5 Reasons You Need to Visit The Old Stocks Inn || Hotel Review

A couple of weeks ago we took to the road and headed to the Cotswolds in order to banish away our January blues. It’s something we’re making a bit of an annual trip – as we did the same mid January last year – and let me tell you, it is always very much welcomed. We had the trip partially as a Christmas present and I honestly love the idea of it – who doesn’t need some time away in the most boring, sober, skint, cold month of the year?!

This time, we stayed in Stow-On-The-Wold in a little hotel called The Old Stocks Inn. Both myself and Dave absolutely loved our time there and didn’t want to come home, so I thought I would share with you 5 reasons why you should most definitely add this to your hotel wish list.
