A few months ago, we visited Venice on a special trip for my 30th birthday. I only found out where we were going a couple of days before, but I’d been wanting to go to Venice for years so I already had a wish list as long as my arm, of places I was desperate to visit and things I wanted to see.
Burano was up there at the top and I was adamant that we had to take a boat ride over there at some point during our trip.
As some of you guys might already know, I live not too far from Manchester which means it’s always my first choice for a little weekend break. It’s less than an hour on the train and is one of my favourite cities to visit because it not only has a great shopping scene but as a city, it boasts some of the highest quality bars and restaurants outside of London. All of this rainy UK weather has got me daydreaming about my holidays and with that, I realised I never shared any of our snaps from Mykonos with you guys.
All photographs were taken on a Canon 750d or iPhone 7 plus and I’ve played around with some film filters to get the 35mm effect. A couple of weeks ago we took to the road and headed to the Cotswolds in order to banish away our January blues. It’s something we’re making a bit of an annual trip – as we did the same mid January last year – and let me tell you, it is always very much welcomed. We had the trip partially as a Christmas present and I honestly love the idea of it – who doesn’t need some time away in the most boring, sober, skint, cold month of the year?!
This time, we stayed in Stow-On-The-Wold in a little hotel called The Old Stocks Inn. Both myself and Dave absolutely loved our time there and didn’t want to come home, so I thought I would share with you 5 reasons why you should most definitely add this to your hotel wish list.

As I write this, it’s 2nd January 2018, it’s pouring with rain outside and it’s the dreaded first day back at work for many after the Christmas and new year break. Lucky for me, I booked today off as annual leave just to give myself that extra bit of a break before going back to work tomorrow.
