Autumn is probably my most favourite season to dress for. I love everything about it, the layering, the introduction of knitwear, being able to wear oversized jackets with bare legs and boots, not to mention that I can re-ignite my love for leather trousers, which I would wear all year round if it was up to me.
This outfit makes use of some of my favourite pieces and is perfect for this time of year when there’s still a lot of sun and the temperature hasn’t dropped too much just yet.
Animal print is always big in the colder months and I could not resist these Zara Slouchy trousers because I think they’re the perfect addition to my Autumn wardrobe. The neutral shades will work well in so many different outfits and it makes them a great investment as they won’t really age or go out of style. If you’re going to buy into the animal print trend, my advice would be to go for a neutral shade that you can wear time after time.
The blazer from ASOS gives that layer of warmth that you’ll need moving into October but adds a real ‘off-duty’ vibe due to the extra oversized fit. I sized up from my usual size but it is oversized anyway, so you could probably get away with staying true to size if you don’t fancy going too big and baggy.
When it gets colder, I’m planning on adding a roll neck instead of the vest to give me even more warmth and keep this outfit weather appropriate.

You’ll see me styling these boots with anything and everything over the coming months and I couldn’t wait to get them back on my feet if I’m honest. Once you’ve worn them in (it can take a while so be patient) they are the comfiest boots you will ever wear and their versatility is second to none. I wear them for shopping, lunch, work, dog walking, like I said, absolutely everything and they look as good as the day I bought them. They may be a little more highly priced than your standard high street Winter boots, but it’s so easy to get your wear out of them and they are so durable I know I’ll keep these for years to come.
As I mentioned above, I’ll be swapping the vest out for a roll neck in coming weeks and you could switch up other items depending on your colour palette or occasion. A black blazer and white t-shirt would work just as well but would add a slightly more formal edge to the look, or in contrast an all black outfit with a cross body bag and felt fedora would create a really chic, daytime look.
Blazers and faux leather trousers are two of my most-worn items at this time of year, so I know this is an OOTD that I’ll be re-wearing and styling over and over again.
