“Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success.”

Recently, i’ve been thinking a lot about what my passions are in life and making a concscious effort to include them more in my day to day life. It might sound like a fairly obvious and simple concept to adopt; which in essence it is, however the problem is nowhere near enough of us actually do it.
It’s a concept that’s become more and more important to me recently, mainly from speaking to people who have focussed on their passion in life and seeing them absolutley come alive and really start living life every day, rather than living for the weekend or the next holiday or day off work.
I think the blogging world is a perfect example to use because it’s quite a relatable thing to a lot of people. To think that careers and livelihoods could be built off a persons passion to write about clothes and how they style them, or off someone making a video about how they spend their day and putting it on YouTube would have been an unbelievable thought years ago, but look how many people have changed their lives and futures by investing the time and energy into doing something they love and believe in.
I’ve seen people start businesses from their garages and their kitchens, businesses that started as a hobby and have become much more purely down to a persons passion and dedication to whatever it is they have decided to do.
If we’re being real not everyone can have a day job based on something they absolutely love in life, but that shouldn’t stop us making it a focus for every other second of the day, believe me when i say, the sense of achievement, fulfilment and happiness this can bring you is priceless.
Your might have a passion for creating beautiful make up looks, so take some time to learn that skill and then do all of your friends make up before a big night out. You might love photography, so pick up your phone and start learning how to take amazing iPhone photos then save up your money and in time get a better camera, go out and start photographing everything in sight. You might love up-cycling furniture, spraying cars, making clothes, painting pottery, whatever it is surround yourself with ideas and projects and I promise you, that you won’t regret it.
I’m a huge believer in making your soul happy and living your best life, so whatever it is you need to do to fulfil that idea – don’t leave it too late!
Incase it wasn’t obvious enough, I absolutely love anything clothing and fashion related. From watching fashion week shows, to buying different pieces and styling them up – I spent 6 years of my life studying the subject at Uni and have a Masters degree in fashion buying so I would say that this for me, is one of my biggest passions in life. For that reason, curating my Instagram and new posts for this blog is something I also love and yes, fitting it around a full-time job in a completely unrelated field can be tough but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
The sense of pride, achievement and motivation you get from doing something you really love, work wise or not – I think, can change your life!
Yeess girl! And your outfit is bomb, absolutely love it! x
