Happy Sunday Huns! It feels like forever since I’ve posted although I think it’s only been around 3 weeks. I have still been writing away when I’ve had time, so there should be plenty of content coming over the next few weeks. It has definitely been forever since I’ve posted a favourites – I think my last one was back in June – but I haven’t had that many new products I’ve fallen in love with over the last couple of months so no favourite products = no favourites post.
However, I’m back this Sunday with the top 3 products I’ve used consistently throughout August; Two skincare and One fragrance. I’ve also been testing out some new beauty products that I think will be in future favourites, so I’ll talk a little bit about them at the end.
Origins Ginzing Energy-Boosting Gel Moisturiser
This Origins moisturiser was a new edition to my skincare routine early August and it’s not going anywhere. We all know how well I get on with gel formulas so this is absolutely perfect for me. I had read a lot of reviews about this product before buying as I really hate wasting money on skincare – it’s so easy to buy something because of the hype surrounding it, then realising it doesn’t suit you and being stuck with a huge pot of cream and a purse £30-40 lighter. I tend to need a morning moisturiser with vitamin C or something which awakens and plumps the skin and this does exactly that. My skin is brighter and more awake after use and I find it soaks into the skin well, allowing me to then go in with more skincare products or make up straight on top.
PIXI & Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse
I know I’m slow on the uptake of this one, but I’ve been wanting to get my hands on it since I saw the press releases every blogger (it seemed) received months and months ago. I have never used a cleansing balm before nor have I ever been one to double cleanse – I didn’t even know it was a thing until now – but after a couple of uses I would swear by this product and so would my skin if it could. I feel more confident that all my make up is gone after cleansing and although I have relatively ‘good’ skin naturally, I feel like there is a definite difference and improvement since using this product.
ZARA Twilight Mauve Fragrance
So pretty much everyone I know is obsessed with Zara Clothing, but if you have never tried their fragrances – what are you playing at?! I had this one bought as a gift for my birthday this year, but I’ve used different fragrances from their previously. Around £9.99 -£15.00 per 100ml bottle they are ideal for everyday work use. There are a lot to choose from, so I’m sure everyone could find a scent to suit them, but the main reason for my recommendation is they are strong, long lasting fragrances for a bargain price tag.
Onto the potential future favourites….
YSL Instant Moisture Glow – I’ve been using a tester pot of this for the last week or so, and I don’t know how I’m going to feel when it runs out. I have used it straight onto my skin and also mixed it with my foundation before application and it always gives the most dewy, glowing skin in the most natural way! I can 100% say, this will be a future purchase and something that I know I will use every day.
Bare Minerals BAREPRO Liquid Foundation SPF 20 – I’ve been in and out of my local Boots more times than is normal over the last week, trying to pick up a bottle of this. After seeing Victoria of InTheFrow praise it in recent vlogs, I went in store to get a tester but due to it not being released at that stage, they could only give me one sample they had which I think was shade ‘fair’. I’m in love with the feel and consistency, so as soon as my local store stock the full range, I can hopefully find a good colour match and buy away!
Have you used any of the products I’ve mentioned or have any of your own recent favourites you think I might like? Let me know below and I’ll see you again very soon…
Oooooh I love the normal Origins GinZing moisturiser, so I’ll definitely have to check the gel version out, it sounds amazing! I’ve never even thought about looking in ZARA for fragrences but I’ll be sure to do that now! Great round up post lovely xxx
