So if you follow me on social media, you will no doubt be aware that I’ve recently returned from a trip to the city of Dublin. It was a surprise trip that I booked for my boyfriends 30th birthday and of course I snapped up a few new pieces of clothing especially for the occasion.
I managed to pick up some things that I absolutely love, so I thought I’d share them with you in a couple of Outfit of the Day type posts.
For a while now I’ve had my eye on the mesh dress/t-shirt trend and I’ve spent my time admiring how people style them up for different occasions – day and night. Not knowing how to style one personally or whether I could actually pull one off, I talked myself out of buying one so many times.
You know when there’s a fine line between looking amazing or potentially making it onto the ‘worst dressed’ list and someone privately snap chatting a photo of you to their bezzy for a good laugh at how horrendous you look – yep it was one of those.
But, ever the optimist, I kept looking in the hope of finding the perfect one for me. We all know what a Zara lover I am, so of course the one for me was going to be found there!
I’ve styled it here for a daytime look over the top of a pair of high waisted coated jeans from Primark, a plain black top from Topshop and finally my ripped denim jacket and converse to casj it down for exploring the cobbled streets of Temple Bar.
The dress could easily be dressed up for a night time look with some heels and a belt to pull in the waist. Next time I might try it with some loafer mules and a leather for a completely different day time look.
Let me know what you think of the look and any other ways you’ve styled a mesh style dress recently.
